Complete Branding for Sugartwist

Project Objective:

The primary objective of the Sugartwist project was to establish a comprehensive brand identity from scratch for a woman-owned cake business. This involved not only the creation of a distinctive logo but also developing essential brand assets and managing their online presence to foster engagement and brand recognition.

Scope of Work & Key Activities:

Core Logo Design: Developed and finalized the primary logo for Sugartwist. The design process involved initial brainstorming and sketching to illustrate unique concepts for the letters ‘S’ and ‘T’.

Brand Asset Creation: Created all other required brand assets to ensure a cohesive visual identity across various platforms.

Social Media Management: Managed the client’s Instagram page for one year (2021-2022). This included creating social media posts to maintain an active and engaging online presence.

Professional Presentation: Showcased the Sugartwist logo and brand assets using professional mockups. Credits for these mockups were attributed to Freepik Company.

Design Process & Conceptualization (Logo):

The logo design for Sugartwist was meticulously crafted through a brainstorming and sketching phase, exploring various ideas to uniquely illustrate the initial letters ‘S’ and ‘T’. From these concepts, a final outline was selected.

The chosen design conceptually integrated the letters with the product:

• The letter ‘S’ was artfully illustrated as the melting part of a cupcake. This melting aspect was specifically chosen to symbolize “overwhelming Love”.

• The letter ‘T’ formed the cup of the cupcake.

• A small heart was incorporated as a charming topping to the cupcake, further emphasizing the theme of love and sweetness.


This visual narrative aimed to convey the brand’s desired message and essence, which was successfully achieved.

Outcome & Feedback: The completed branding elements, particularly the logo design, received positive remarks upon their presentation. Notably, Jaydeep V. described the concept as “Promising”, while Nachiket Panchal commented “Fascinating”. This project successfully provided Sugartwist with a distinctive, memorable, and emotionally resonant brand identity.
