Project Overview
This is a self-initiated, ongoing project dedicated to celebrating the cultural festivals in my home village of Ambapur. The goal is to create a series of vibrant and thematic 3D animation videos that capture the spirit of each occasion, fostering a sense of pride and shared celebration within the community.
My Role & Skills Demonstrated
As the sole creator for this project, I was responsible for the entire production pipeline from concept to final video.
- Concept Development: Researching and developing unique visual concepts for a wide range of cultural festivals, including Shivaratri, Ganesh Chaturthi, Diwali, Ramnavmi, and Durgashtami.
- 3D Texturing: Creating and texturing 3D assets relevant to each festival, including the prominent typography of the village name.
- Lighting & Composition: Designing the overall scene and setting up lighting to evoke the specific mood of each festival.
- Animation & Motion Graphics: Animating the 3D elements, camera movements, and any particle effects.
- Rendering & Post-Production: Rendering the final animation sequences and performing colour correction, sound design, and final editing.
The Process
The workflow for each celebration, whether for Diwali, Shivaratri, or Ganesh Chaturthi, begins with conceptualizing a scene that embodies the festival’s core elements. The village’s name, “Ambapur”, is always integrated as a central 3D element, with its materials and lighting designed to match the theme. For example, a Diwali animation might feature the text with a golden, illuminated texture surrounded by animated diyas and fireworks. The final rendered video is then shared with the community to mark the celebration.
